Since our establishment in 2005, our values have been at the core of everything we do.

Since 2005, our core values Integrity, Reliability, and Innovation have guided everything we do. At Chiltern Global, we’re committed to providing service personnel with the highest quality equipment, driven by these principles in every decision we make.

Graham Chastell 

Business and product development lead 

Graham, better known as ‘Chas’, is a retired British Army Sergeant Major with over 22 years of military service. Since joining Chiltern Global, he has led our business and product development, driving innovation across our military, police and defence manufacturing solutions.

As a qualified instructor in air defence, CBRN (Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear), riot control, medical training and infantry tactics, Chas brings deep operational expertise to every stage of our product design and manufacturing process. Chas holds a firsthand understanding of the demanding requirements of armed forces and security personal; ensuring that our bespoke equipment meets the highest standards of performance, durability and functionality.

Chas plays a pivotal role in bridging the gap between frontline operational needs and innovative product development, assisting Chiltern Global to remain a trusted partner to military, police, prisons and security forces globally.

Outside of work, Chas remains actively connected to the wider defence community, spending much of his time forward based across Europe where he enjoys spending quality time with his family.

Ollie Butterworth

International operations lead 

Ollie leads our registered corporation in the United Arab Emirates, playing a key role in expanding our international presence across the Middle East. Drawing on undoubtable project management experience in his previous role, along with his fluency in Mandarin, Ollie has been instrumental in driving global business development and strengthening strategic partnerships across regions.

His close collaboration with our factories, on product design and production, ensures the seamless delivery of high- quality equipment for both our core product range and bespoke government contracts, reinforcing his pivotal role in the companies’ global operations.

Outside of work, Ollie is passionate about Muay Thai and enjoys staying active by running with his local club, Euphoria, embodying the same dedication and discipline he brings to his professional role.

Medical Warehouse Global 

Since joining Chiltern Global, Eddy has contributed to the growth of our specialist knowledge and production capabilities in ballistics. After earning his bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, he advanced to lead project management for the development of specialist products within the police and security markets.

Combining technical; expertise with an innovative mindset, Eddy plays a pivotal role in delivering tailored solutions that meets the evolving needs of our clients, ensuring that every product reflects Chiltern Global’s commitment to quality, precision and performance.

Proven through his knowledge in Spanish and Mandarin, Eddy is passionate about travel, learning new languages and experiencing different cultures. Eddy enjoys bodybuilding and training in Muay Thai, reflecting his focus and discipline both professionally and personally.

Matthew Butterworth 

Founder and Chief Executive Officer 

Matthew is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Chiltern Global, bringing over 30 years of service, in the Police Force, to the company. As a former Senior Detective in the Metropolitan Police, he possesses a wealth of operational expertise that informs every aspect of Chiltern Global’s vision and strategic direction.

Holding a master’s degree in Intelligence and Security, Matthew has embedded rigorous quality control standards across the organisation, ensuring precision, reliability and excellence in every product. His leadership has been instrumental in establishing Chiltern Global as a trusted partner to military, police and security forces around the world, driving innovation and operational effectiveness in the defence manufacturing sector.

Rooted in the Chiltern Hills, UK, Matthew finds balance outside of work by exploring the rolling countryside and enjoying the exceptional culinary experiences Buckinghamshire offers; a reflection of his appreciation for tradition and quality.

Marketing Director and operations lead

Lewis first joined Chiltern Global after completing his bachelor’s degree in politics, bringing a sharp and analytical perspective to the company’s communication and strategy. He later returned to the University of Nottingham, where he earned an MSc in Marketing, further enhancing his expertise in strategic planning, digital marketing campaigns and brand development.

At Chiltern Global, Lewis plays a vital role in shaping and executing our marketing strategy, whilst managing the daily operations, IT systems and administrative functions that keep the business running. Lewis has supported the company in achieving Cyber Essentials Plus. His combination of strategic insight and practical leadership helps drive the company’s presence across military, police and security sectors.

Lewis is passionate about cooking and brings his team spirit to the rugby pitch whilst playing for the Chesham Stags.

Procurement and supply chain manager

Sophia joined Chiltern Global in 2011 and has been a driving force in managing the companies' purchasing operations across the Far East, bringing over a decade of expertise in procurement and supply chain management. She is responsible for overseeing the sourcing and quality assurance of materials and products that meet the quality standards required for both our core product range and bespoke government contracts.

Sophia’s deep understanding of international supply chains, combined with her strong relationships with local manufacturers, enables Chiltern Global to deliver cost effective, high quality and reliable solutions to clients around the world. Her strategic approach the procurement ensures that out operations remain efficient, competitive and aligned with the demands of the military, police and security sectors we support.

Sales Manager 

Cameron has been an integral part of Chiltern Global, within the police and prisons sector, since taking on the role of sales manager in 2022. Cameron has played a fundamental role in securing framework agreements such as: YPO and BlueLight Commercial. He has also helped us to become the preferred supplier of the National Uniform Managed Service (NUMS). With his advancing of the supply of tactical equipment to UK law enforcement and correctional services, Cameron has helped to strengthen Chiltern Global’s position as a trusted supplier to the police and prison sectors.

With 26 years of experience in the UK prison service, where he rose to the rank of Custodial Manager, and a further 8 years supplying law enforcement agencies, Cameron brings an exceptional depth of operational knowledge and industry insight. His extensive network within UK police and prison procurement circles, combined with his experience, has been invaluable in supporting Chiltern Global’s continued growth and ability to deliver specialist equipment solutions tailored to the needs of frontline services.

Cameron's expertise, strategic approach, and long-standing relationships across the law enforcement and custodial sectors make him a key figure in driving Chiltern Global’s mission to provide reliable, high quality technical equipment to clients throughout the UK and beyond.

Our history

Founded in 2005 by Matthew Butterworth, a former senior officer with over 30 years’ experience in the Metropolitan Police Service with a master’s degree in Intelligence and Security, Chiltern Global was built on a strong foundation of law enforcement expertise. Over the years, the company has grown to include a team of dedicated professionals with extensive operational backgrounds. For example, among them is a former Custodial Manager with 26 years in the UK prison service which has brought Chiltern Global an unparalleled insight into security operations, custodial environments and public safety procedures.  

At Chiltern Global, our military capabilities, within our specialist division- Chiltern Defence, are guided by the expertise of Graham Chastell (‘Chas’), a retired Army Sergeant Major with over 22 years of service. His hands on approach has provided Chiltern Global with a unique advantage in designing, refining and delivering specialist equipment tailored to modern defence requirements; whilst supporting in the shaping of our business and product development.
